Comparing that chip to a new dual core macbook is simply not fair :). IF you would like to compare it to a more modern powerpc chip (such as a dual core one), now that would be a contest. Furthermore, no one gets a mac for "speed", but for the user friendly mac experience. I would take a slow mac over a windows computer with it's crappy experience anyday. So, no one was being ripped over with the G4 chips, they recieved solid usable computers. Anyways, long live the powerpc! Much has changed since the 1ghz g4 was released.
